This unit will cover the history, costumes, movements, and music of each dance style. • Multiculturalism in Dance: Examination of the role of dance in promoting cultural understanding and diversity. Students will learn about the impact of cultural dance on society and how it can be used to bridge cultural gaps. • Cross-Cultural Dance Techniques: Study of the fundamental techniques of cultural dance and their application across different styles. Students will learn about body alignment, posture, movement vocabulary, and dance etiquette in various cultural contexts. • Cultural Dance Choreography: Hands-on experience in creating and performing choreographies that integrate different cultural dance styles. Students will learn how to adapt and modify dance movements to suit their individual abilities and preferences while maintaining the integrity of the cultural dance style. • Multicultural Dance Events and Festivals: Analysis of various multicultural dance events and festivals around the world.
